Straight Shooter
Straight Shooter is a familiar face on the Sunshine Coast, a purpose-built 23-metre longline fishing vessel owned by 4 Seas Wholesale Seafood out of Mooloolaba, and one of two sister ships working hard up and down the Australian coast. She's a serious commercial workhorse, and she needed an engine to match.
We installed a Volvo Penta D13-400, a heavy-duty powerplant built for exactly this kind of application. With high torque output and strong fuel efficiency, the D13-400 gives Straight Shooter the grunt to handle demanding offshore conditions while keeping running costs in check, the kind of reliable, modern power a vessel like this depends on.
Straight Shooter is now back out on the water doing what she does best, and we couldn't be prouder to have played a part in keeping her there.
Prospector
Prospector is the vessel behind What A Catch, a well-loved deep sea fishing charter operating out of Mooloolaba. The 12-metre Cougar Cat is purpose-built for offshore reef fishing and carries up to 16 guests out to the best spots the Sunshine Coast has to offer, so reliability and performance aren't optional, they're everything.
Coastal Diesel repowered Prospector with a pair of Volvo Penta D6-380s, a natural fit for a vessel of this size and purpose. Known for their smooth power delivery, strong fuel efficiency and compact build, the D6-380s are a popular choice for charter cats that need to perform day in, day out.
